I answered by hand, since I do most work by hand. But I will pull out the 7424 when needed...

I usually work by hand. I use the Cyclo only if I want to remove scratches or oxidation. I don't think it's that hard to work by hand, if the finnish is in good condition.

From marring removal-type polishing with the rotary, to milder work and LSPs with the PC/Cyclo, to removing LSPs....I do everything I can by machine. About the only times I do anything by hand is when I apply KSG, UPP, and Souveran, which I can put on thinner and more uniformly by hand.

Well, I will do things by hand on the XJS from time to time, just to caress my old friend a bit

I used to do everything by hand but I use the PC for all polishing and some LSPs, like NXT and Carnauba Moose Wax.

Both..depending on the car, the color and condition of the paintwork.
