What do you use for a one step cut and polish?

Post what you use to remove light to medium oxidation and polish in one step.

Re: What do you use for a one step cut and polish?

As I mentioned in your other thread, Menzerna Power Gloss worked very well for me on a maintained boat with light oxidation.

I could have finished the polishing step at the PG stage but I liked the results of following up with KAIO to clean up with.

I like Optimum Poliseal alot, but Klasse AIO has worked pretty well on oxidation for me too.

My dad wants me to detail his boat this weekend. I didn't know Klasse AIO was good for gelcoats =). I am going to have to give that a go, and top it with the Klasse High Gloss Sealant.

Re: What do you use for a one step cut and polish?

klasse aio is amazing on gelcoats. but expect to clean your pad lots. Last camper trailer I did killed a brand new pad, that's how badly oxidized it was...it was probably an 18 hour jobber. I did it over 3 weekends.

I found it worked the same as a heavy compound, but without the dust issues

I don't know if it's different for marine/gelcoat applications, but you should follow up PG with an abrasive polish such as IP. PG leaves almost zero gloss and some marring of its own.
