New style seat / creeper?

Anyone seen this yet? I just found it in the SEARS catalog. Looks like it might be good vs. leaning over from a stool.

I dunno, to me, it doesn't look like it would be comfortable (and we have the "backsaver chair" versions of that kind of thing in our home). I also question how easy it would be to move around on it. I could be wrong, but to me it looks *so* "off" that I wouldn't even consider it.

I have a couple of rolling seats/stools (different heights) and I don't mind the leaning over. If I have to work *very* close to the ground I just sit on a conventional creeper or kneel on a soft pad.

How do you move? Use your arms like a paddle? You'll look like Eddie Murphy in the begining of Trading Places when he's the homeless "amputee."

You move around by pushing yourself with your feet. You also use your feet to prevent you from rolling backwards when applying pressure to a cars surface (i.e. using a rotart or PC). I used one while at SEMA last November. It's remarkably comfortable. I believe both TOP and CMA currently have tehm in stock. I just can't justify spending almost $200 on a product when you can get a similar product for $15.

I have one. It is very well built. Very well designed.

It is most practical when working directly on the floor, such as scrubbing floormats.
When working on the vertical surfaces of a car, I sit, with one knee down, and the other knee up, with the foot flat on the floor. This allows for great control.

After about 18 months of use, I give it a big thumbs up! But, remember that we use it for hours each day...

Probably tough to justify for the home garage.

Wow, I'm surprised that those of you who've actually *used* the thing find it comfortable. Might have to reconsider...

Guess it's the bicycle-style seat that worries me, comfort-wise, if you know what I mean

Looks like the seat is hinged to tip forward.
If it's not ... that guy in the pic on their website should be grimacing in pain.
