Cool Garage lighting...

I'm having two 8 foot double flourescent fixtures installed in the garage tomorrow for $340 which includes the fixtures and installation. That sounds a bit expensive, but it's only money.... I think he is getting special reflecting fixtures which give better light.

I have a double halogen light but even that is not great at picking up swirls, and I could bake a turkey in the garage in about an hour with those things on. So I'm springing for the flourescents. I normally do work myself, but I get weirded out crawling around in my attic and I get nervous with electrical stuff beyond changing a switch or something simple. I zapped myself a few times hanging fans, and that is enough reason to pay for an electrician. He will be here to rewire my kitchen anyways, so we can use the new microwave with the lights on. One thing leads to another...it never stops. Next comes the air conditioning vent for the garage. The weather has been in the 80's every day! I've been waiting for a little cold front to start my Blackfire project, but no break in sight yet.

And if you don't want the rain from Tim, I'll send you some of the 6" snowfall we had here this weekend. Enjoy your lighting!

hey bill i'll take the snow. i'm like a big kid when it comes to snow, i love the stuff. plus it gives me a good excuse to have a 4X4. of course this is my 3rd winter with the truck and we've had very little snow the past couple of winters. the winter before i bought my truck we had an 18" snow in one night, now i have a 4X4 and nothing

Tim,
I agree about a 4X4 and fresh snow, what's better than pulling into a freshly covered Wal-Mart parking lot, or someplace like that, pushing the button and writing dirty words across the lot, with all four wheels turning up a storm. Must look cool to all the folks headin' into the local airport.
But I'll still take 80 and sunny, and a breeze. It was 83 in Honolulu today. Just thought you ought to know that! Enjoy!

hey bill, i work outside the majority of the winter, so yea... give me 80, i'll take it. heck i'll take honolulu, don't need no stinkin' 4X4 there.

shoot, a 4X4 at a wal-mart here in kentucky is a prerequisite... well that and a gun rack.

true story... i had a guy that worked for me (well only for a couple of days) that got drunk, shot up the parking lot at wal-mart and then went in side to buy more shells for his shotgun when he ran out. they wouldn't sell him any more, imagine that
