Garage Update

So far I have added a 15 AMP fuse and 2 more electrical drops, fixed my network wiring since I ran it all to the garage as my MDF I plan to add electrical to the other wall too and more lights. I was going to go 8 footers, but I think the price is a tad more than I want to spend. So I am looking to add 2 four footers. Anyone know the best place to buy them? HD or Lowes? I was not impressed with HD’s last night when I quickly looked.

Also, I used what was left of the garage floor epoxy to paint my shelves. It is like they are coated in plastic they look so nice. Waterproof too. Just something to consider. Pics are coming soon I am so proud.

On a side note if you ever paint your garage floor take your time and do it right. Follow the directions. I have done mine twice and never did it right and it is peeling all over. I may tile it with a racedeck type clone because I give up with paint. I may strip it too, but that seems like so much work.

I installed 3 8' lights from Lowe's over 2 1/2 years, don't remember the cost, but it was a BIG improvement over the 75 watt incandescant bulb that was in there. There's plenty of light in there now for I've been doing (tinting windows), and there's plenty of light for detailing, except for seeing swirls and scratches. But, I think a stand with 2 500 watt halogens will fix that problem. So now I "need" a service cart, lights and stand, a rotary, a WHOLE LOT more waxes/polishes/pads, and at least ONE paying customer.

Since you're adding power drops you may want to consider adding a dedicated line or even a 240V drop for a compressor. A 2Hp compressor will fully load a 120V, 15Amp circuit by itself.

PC.
