Oil Stains On Floor? Use Simple Green!

No, not a formal endorsement for the product. It just works! For 4 years, I had large oil stains on my garage floor. Now that I'm renovating my garage, those stains had to come off before I could lay down a new floor.

So I used Simple Green, full strength, on the stains. I just poured right out of the bottle. I let it sit for 1/2 an hour, then scrubbed with a brush. I didn't rinse, but let the solution sit for another 24 hours (which meant I couldn't park in the garage that night).

Let me tell you, the Simple Green began working even before I brushed. The goo was already coming off in the not-so-bad areas, and even in the worst areas, the solution was doing its thing.

The next day, I used hot water to scrub the entire floor. Then I rinsed with cold water. ALL oil stains were gone!

Thanks for that.

Ive got some pretty bad oil stains under my carport. The other day I found some Degreaser from my Grandpa's house and decided to use that. Well I didnt let it sit too long but I started working it with a brush. Well most of the oil came up, but you can still see faint outlines of all the oil stains. Did Simple Green leave this as well?

Not a trace. I expected faint outlines, too. But no, everything came up.
