2 Post Lifts Help...

Hi guys, our shop garage is fitted with a Rotary Lift Model SPOA7-205 2 post lift. The unit was left by the previous tenant.

I'd like to know how to use this lift properly, issues like jack points, where to position the arms prior to driving the car into the towers, etc..

Any help from mechanics and garage fanatics?

See pics of our shop here http://www.pbase.com/theveed/secret

I don't remember the exact measurements, but it aint that big, around 3-4 SUV's will fit inside, 2 will fit outside, I'll be putting up a large canopy near the outside wall as a wash area... We're lucky enough that the shop already had that lift in... we're almost done with construction/painting, the shop should be ready by next week (hopefully).. I'll post more pics (but not in pbase).

Jimamary: Many thanks.

I think the best thing would be to contact the distributor of the lift in your area or contact Rotary and get a manual for your lift, there would be nothing worse then to have a car drop from the lift because of a mistake. Just my two cents worth.
