I also bought a garage!! Pics inside

Here are some pictures of my new garage that I bought, which happens to also have a house attached
The house is a split entry, 2150sq ft, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath on .7 acre. The garage is under the bedrooms, so the ceiling is pretty low. I don't know the dimensions of the garage....the foundation is 26 x 50 ( I think). Anyways, here are some pics....all the crap that is there is the current owners......

next pic.....these pictures go in order from the right side of the garage to the left side. This pic shows the entry to the house and that bumped out partition has the oil tank behind it. The door to the house needs to be replaced....it's just a solid wood door with the metal on the garage side....it will be replaced with probably a metal insulated door. Also, to the right of the door, we may put our extra refrigerator there. We need the freezer space, and I can keep beer and soda for when I'm detailing

next pic....you can't really see it very well in the picture, but there is a nice workbench in the corner...I'm hoping that they don't take it with them.

Fresh coat of paint, floor treatment, lighting, and you've got yourself a really nice garage there! Congrats!

last pic....the two windows are in pretty good shape....I may cover them with the plastic to keep drafts out.....there are quite a few small breaks in the plaster on the walls and ceilings where pipes and drains are, etc....I need to get those repaired or fill them with some foam, etc. We are planning on replacing the garage doors, and possibly the openers. The current openers are Stanley 1/4HP chain drive.....it looks like they just changed the opener becuase the pole that runs to the door is all rusted.
Actually they are pretty quiet, but may be underpowered for a heavier insulated door. Any recommendations on brands of garage doors? Also, you can see that the opener is very close to the ceiling....any opinoins on lights? You can see that there are two light fixtures....one in each bay.....I'd like to add some more light, but it doesn't have to be crazy.....I don't do that much work in the garage.

For lights I would go with some fluorescent fixtures, you can hang a couple of those 48" shop lights over each bay if you don't think you'll be doing most of your detailing/etc. in the garage, or if you're like me you could have 6-8 of those shop lights over your bays.

For garage doors, look at Overhead Door... I have their insulated door and opener combo and love it, keeps everything pretty well protected.

Hard to tell in the pics how big it is, is it just a 2 car? Does it have heat or AC? also do you have any pics from the outside>?

It's just a 2 car garage.....I don't have the exact dimensions.....
I didn't take pics from the outside cause it was in the middle of a snow storm! I'll see if I can dig up a picture that shows the garage from the outside.

That's not too shabby. Sure beats the heck out of my little one car garage duplex. Great find. Clear all their crap outta there and get to work on it. That is going to be one awesome place. You've got a lot of potential in there.
