Since you haven't goten much response, I guess I'll go ahead and give you what little experience I have.
I have a Central Pneumatic, 2 H.P., 8 gallon tank unit.
115 PSI maximum working pressure
Air flow, 5 CFM @ 90 PSI, 7CFM @ 40 PSI
It is adequate for home use, but I really don't think anything smaller would work well at all.
As I remember, it was about $100, and I spent another $25 or so on a good air hose and some couplers.
Doesn't get a lot of use, but it sure is handy to have.
