well Results are in on the floor stain project..

Followed the directions to a tee, I etched the floor 3 times and the directions says 1 time, I also washed the floor many times with concrete cleaner. Today I went out on moved SS off the cardboard and the paint had already started to peel

so This test Did not work. I didn’t spend to much on the test so I am not to upset…. The stain was Behr Concrete stain, in dark gray. I would NOT suggest it to anyone, not sure what my next test will be?

I really liked the look, it was a dull dark gray, so for now I put down some cheap tile to help the stain last a little longer, expect more tests on this, I want a goods looking floor that I can do myself for less than the cost of my limbs…

You said you followed the directions to a tee, "said to etch one time...I did three".

Not saying this was it...I would think etching 3 would be better than once...but maybe that was it.

It's a pain in the ***........

I did the same thing and it came up......

Long story short I finally hired a pro to do it and it cost me big time!

I'll never do it again........

Use tile or just keep the concrete clean.

You might try ucoatit.com, about 250 for the kit, but it works great

I would vote for tile on the rest of that floor.... it looks good IMO...

and if you want to have something between the tile and the cars, put a couple of the mats down like they sell at sams or lowes (both carry the same as I found out yesterday.)

that way you'd have the black/white checkered border with grey under the cars.

well I cant use the tiles on the hole floor, #1 when wet they are slick as ICE.. and #2 they will not hold up to me washing cars in the garage. I may have to wait till spring now, low temp for the next few days dips in to the 30's

I Have The Griots In My Carport Which Is Obviously Exposed To Year round Weather. Its Holding Up Nicely!
My Parents Had Their Floor Professionaly Done In One Garage, Where Its Peeling Up, And Did The Griots In Another Garage Where Its Holding Up Nicely.

This stuff is indestructible, and you can do it yourself. Absolutely will not lift - I found out about it on vwvortex, and have applied it myself in a commercial environment - works great.

did you consider this? I have since I may be moving.. you can take it with you and you can wash your car on it as well? there are a few different companies that sell almost the same thing..
