Wife stopper

Any good ideas how 2 stop the wife from driving the car too far into the garage? Mine pulls so far up that there is no room to get between the bumper and the work bench some times. Tried sweet talking, bribing and threatening, but so far nothing works. Haven't resorted to hanging string from the ceiling or putting bumps on the floor....or trading her in on a new model, but I'm open to any effective suggestions.

Try hanging a ping-pong ball on a string from the ceiling. When the windshield hits the ping-pong ball..stop the car.

Can she stop at a redlight? If she can do that then there is a solution

At walmart across from detailing stuff they have a redlight system. about 4in by 2 in. When the agarage opens i turns on. green. Then whenyour getting close to the stopping point it turns yellow and when your at the stoping point it goes red. You set the distance yourself so you can set it at like 4 feet if you want.

My 15 year old son was nervous about pulling the Prelude in to the very tight garage, so I hung a yellow tennis ball from fishing line so the ball hits the windshield right at the center where his rear view mirror attaches. Prevents pulling too far forward and also keeps the car the right distance from both the wall and my Corvette. When the Prelude is out of the garage, the length of the fishing line lets you hook the line on a small hook I put in the wall so you don't have to dodge the tennis ball all the time when working in the garage.

My Dad Has a Tire bump mat.

It is flat rubber and then has a 2-3 inch rise at the end. It definitely lets you know when you have hit it.

I believe LL Bean has a similar device that is yellow. My Dad's is black.

I use ParkZone for both sides and they work great. All over ebay, generally under $20.00.

samiam513....

The Prelude is a 4th gen, '93 VTEC. My son is 6'3" and has headroom, but his size 13 feet have a little trouble with the pedals (5-speed manual). He has to wear a certain pair of shoes to drive or it's a bit awkward!
