Cool Working on my Garage

Started my garage renovation tonight....Spackling the ceiling tonight...And moving $hit out...Will get a ton of crap out tomorrow, trying to open it up as much as I can....Tomorrow I will paint the walls and the electrican comes to run wires...The electrican is a buddy....I am gonna rewire the entire garage...Outlets on one fuse, lights on another, garage door on another, all on an extra sub-panel we have here... Easy peasy.... Still deciding on what lights to utalize..Ideas?

I am torn on flooring I had epoxy on the floor and it lifted so I don't want to do that again...But the Roll out coin pattern mats aren't wide enough and will leave 1.5' on either side of the garage....That seems to be the most economical choice too...Maybee I will run Outddor carpet along the outside edges....Thoughts? Somthing around a grand...

Heres the progress tonight...

Re: Working on my Garage

4 sets of these will help dramatically. Some colors are great for halogen lighting, but these are a must as well.

LED Lights

Re: Working on my Garage

You have a lot of work ahead of you!

Hope this helps with ideas

The cheap epoxy isn't worth a damn. Mine is lifting as well, not to mention brake fluid broke it down and caused it to bubble. Need to get industrial grade. A buddy bought some from Sherman Williams and drives an F250 over it with minimal signs of wear. Hasn't peeled from hot tire either. Good stuff but $$$.

Re: Working on my Garage

...I know I won't ever get it that empty...Any improvment is good for me

Thats why I was thinking about the roll out rubber floor instead of the epoxy to solve any lifting problems..

Re: Working on my Garage

If you are gonna use epoxy go with the Wolverine coating. Its expensive but it is the best. If you wanna go a little cheaper, try edison coatings out of NY.

Re: Working on my Garage

You got some work ahead of you. I just redid my garage a few months back, I put down black flooring, it was the roll out BLT Mats. I love it, easy to clean and went with white walls. Put in a few cabinets and I was amazed out it went from looking like a storage unit to a working garage I can put two cars into. Took me a good two days to do it, but when you are done you will be so happy!

Re: Working on my Garage

Ok one more teaser I can't help myself...Remember those brown cabinets and the chimney to the left of the work bench... Well Before and afters...Making progress...Wish I could go faster but its tedious work...Still have to pull the sink and sand prime and paint behind that...Wanted to get the workbench back in its spot to get it out of the way
