Yes it just lays on the ground...I have a seam in the center of the garage, but I got some no heat capret tape and taped that seam and it worked perfectly. Also at the entrance to the garage I added carpet tape as a temporary solution. Evenutally I want to tap con down a 2" strip of Diamond plate just over the lip of the mat. Either way, then I could then remove the threshold and pull the mat then rinse it off outside...

For two 10x24' mats it was just over a G Note But it sure does make it look nice

Re: Working on my Garage

My only concern with that type of flooring is how will it hold up to snow and water in time. When water gets under it...................

I think it looks great but in places with a true winter?

Cheers
GREG

Re: Working on my Garage

Greg...We do have some pretty harsh winters here in NJ... I am also worried about getting any sort of moisture under there then molding on me...Thats why I love that I can always pull them out rinse off the floor dry it then re-install them.

I needed a solution to my peeling epoxy and this worked...We'll see for how long though

Re: Working on my Garage

I have two pieces put down in my garage, I did not use any tape or adhesive since I like to pull it out of the garage once a year and scrub down. You have to give it some time but it will all lay flat.

Re: Working on my Garage

I had to pull down my banner that I had in front of the window...

Cause I installed this... 50" Plasma

I will hook up this little computer to it to allow for me to play dvd's and a pic of my banner...I figured since the ceiling was open if I am doing it, I might as well do it all the way

Re: Working on my Garage

Everything looks great!!

Are you not worried about putting a 50 inch plama in front of a window? Theft or the sun hitting the back of the TV?

Good idea on frosting the glass. You get some security and a little natural light. Cool.
