Back in
this thread I claimed that I wouldn't be dumping much more energy into my current garage as I'm still living with my parents and I wanted to save the energy for my own place.
Turns out my dad wanted the garage re-done so I was appointed to get it done. After three weeks of hard work and interesting combinations of swear words, we finished tonight around 10:45 and all told I earned about $900.
My friends were a great help and if it hadn't been for them, this project would not have gotten done.
Here is what we accomplished:
- Tear down old shelves
- Dump run (or two)
- Paint inside of doors, all walls and ceiling
- Paint (epoxy) floor
- New cabinets
- New T8 florescent lights
- Black switches/sockets with stainless steel surrounds
- Add an edge molding around the baseboard
Before - Grungy, nasty, messy, never-painted and rarely cleaned 14-year old garage. 
Just a disaster zone, really.
And just awful lighting, especially for detailing.
After - I hardly recognize the place. It's definitely more professional-looking now. 
The stereo looks much more at home here than on the ugly ol' steel and particle-board shelves.
The rear of the garage...the traffic light was absent from the above photo due to it being in the way.
