Backing Plate for Meguiars 6.5" Soft Buff Pads

I was considering purchasing the Meguiars 6.5" Soft Buff pads for use with a rotary AND the UDM.

1. Can these pads use any BP or do they "have" to use Meguiars own 6" BP (like the text on AG)?
2. Any issues with using a 4.75" rotary BP with these pads on the rotary?
3. Any issues with using the UDM's supplied BP (4.75" or 5" I think?) with these pads on the UDM?

The 4.75 backng plate fits the Megs 6.5 inch pads perfectly.
