Is there anything wrong with my method?

Note that im doing these cars for dealerships and they dont give a rats ***, as long as the car looks sellable (most scratches taking care of and buffer swirl free).

Im using HTEC with a light meguiar yellow wool pad with htec followed by 106ff and a german green pad (orange for hard clears), and top it with a layer of wax..

It isnt perfect but for $90 a car, this is the best i can offer them as these cars are usually scratched up like crazym some worst than others! they dont even know what "swirls" are..

Using PO106FF on customers that "Don't know what swirls are" seems like a waste to me. But I guess if you're doing it right, and they like what they see, it'd be good for business.

As long as it doesnt look like holograms (buffer swirls) when the light hits it.. its all good to them. the 106ff seems to do a good job at that.

I dont' recall who but someone on this board mentioned they use Poli-Seal for their dealership customers. His method three step method was wash -> clay -> Poli-Seal with Poli-Seal acting as his polish, his AIO and his sealant. He was in the same boat as you were. The dealers didn't give a rat's butt and certainly were not willing to pay for anything more and these dealers were thrilled with the results he gave them.

if it works for you and your customer's then there is nothing wrong with it

but if it was me @$90 a car I would use HTEC then HT-69
HT-69 should have enought cut to finish out most cars and offers good protection
plus it's dirt cheap, I love it it's my go to when my "freinds" need help with
there cars

I never liked Poli-seal tho. It leave a great shine and good at filling but it doesnt seem to last long. As a polish, i see no point unless your using an more aggressive polishing pad. Its almost like putting butter on your car.. hehe.

I dont know where that guy is from, but the dealerships around my area are usually torn up! deep to medium scratches and a lot of them have buffer swirls all over, etc. i dont think a wash and wax will do any good besides making it shiny.

I'd try Hi Temp polishes, OP or Presta and try save some money. HTEC is nice stuff and it works well with the green pad on a rotary.

Its not all about saving money.. its about something that works, effective, and fast. but i go through a lot of compound so htec works for me!
