Another Flex XC 3401 Report

Just a few words about my experience with the Flex. I have had it for a few weeks now, and have polished two cars with it. Each time I start it up to do a panel I'm thankful that I bought this tool. Compared with my pc, this is just a pleasure to use. IMHO it's much smoother and has less vibration than the pc. Also, since it's more powerful, I can break down polishes much quicker. The pc still gets used. Mostly using spot pads for those hard to reach places. Anyone who is on the fence about buying one of these.....take the plunge, you won't be sorry.

Glad to hear that you like it.I have never fired up my rotary for fear of damaging the paint, but this machine just takes the cake, plenty of power and no fear of paint damage.

I don't know about NO fear of paint damage. The paint can still get real hot under the Flex, but I think the risk is much less than that of a rotary, yet still get great results.

Re: Another Flex XC 3401 Report

How does the Flex compare to the Makita BO6040? I have been eyeing both machines.

It has quite a bit more power and it is not selectable like the makita. It,s forced rotation is always on at the same time as the long throw orbit. It has speed,s up to 9,600 opm and 480 rpm and as much as i tried i could not bog this machine down.
