Chemical Guys LC CSS pads..

Hey guys,

I was all set to order my 5" LC CSS pads from Danase until I noticed that they are closed until November 12th per the note on their home page. Unfortunately, I can't wait that long (car is sitting as it is right now waiting for the pads).

I noticed that Chemical guys sells 5.25" LC pads which appear to be the same - but I've also heard that the backing quality is not up to par. I hate to buy a subpar product and put it near my car...

Anyone have experience with CG's LC 5.25" pads? Are they okay to buy while Danase is temporarily closed? I was also in need of a new 5" backing plate. I was going to buy this from Danase as well. How do you think CG's backing plate stacks up??

Previously I had bought 6.5" pads from autogeek, but I really would like to be using a smaller pad.

I have not had any problems with the CG's CCS pads. However, I'm not a pro so I don't use them as often as others. I just received some from Danase and they look very similar to me

Aren't all the pads pretty much the same if they are from the same manufacturer? I just bought a green and orange 6.5" about an hour ago from CG (went to the store... they have a new salesman, Doug - very nice guy!) and grabbed them.

Update: Used the orange pad and did 3/4 my car (sun went down). So far, its holding together better then the AG white pad (started showing moderate wear and tare after first use!)

Still have to see how it handles after being cleaned through the washing machine
