Newbie Questions about PC & Chemicals

I finally decided to get a PC to help with new black Titan that I believe has water etching. I want to start off with something light and then work my way up to the slightly more aggressive cleaners. I called Meguiars and they suggested PreWax Cleaner with PC. I used product and white pad that came with PC. Spotting is still there - though not quite as bad. They suggested that if that didn't remove the spots or whatever this is, then go to Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner. Co-worker applied AutoMagic New Car Glaze to an area by hand to prove product. Outcome was okay - may have been better if applied by machine. He assured me this is a very very fine abrasive.
I've been reading the tips and techniques you guys have listed here and have found it to be a very informative site. So, what do you think? Should I use AutoMagic New Car Glaze? Is product any better than anything else? I'm really very hesitant about abrasive cleaners.

Also, what should I use for a black Ford truck with heavy oxidation? I think orange pad, but not sure which cleaner.

Are the CCS pads any better than the thick standard pads like the white that came with PC?

Thanks in advance for any help,
Storm

I was really hoping someone would have some opinions about products, pads, etc.

Re: Newbie Questions about PC & Chemicals

first off, ! for the defects you have, it may require a more aggressive approach, though you want to start with the least aggressive and work your way up. i would recommend getting a few white and orange LC (lake country) ccs pads and stepping up to a professional polish and compound (there are many to choose from such as Optimum, Menzerna, Megs, etc). check out the "click & brag" section and you'll see many different pad/product combos used on several different makes/cars...
