Dave explained everything about the backing plate and was very helpful. I decided not to get the bag, I have a storage container for my PC, pads and backing plates, don't really need one more thing to carry around when going to a job.
FYI - Pics of the bag can be found here: FLEX

Ordered it today. Talked to Dave at Powerhouse and they now have a deal with the Flex polisher and a bag for $289. Not a bad deal , so I jumped on it. Dave said he was really suprised with the quality of the bag. They are going to ship it out today and I should get it in a few days. Shipping was about $9. Can't wait to try it out.
Guess my new UDM is gonna go up for sale now. | Hey, Black Diamond, I see that you're in STL also. Just shoot me a PM or something if you ever want to get together or need any help with the Flex. I know it's pretty easy to operate for the most part, but gives me an excuse to talk shop with fellow Autopians in person!!! You're gonna love it.

I'll bet that what Meghan has been hinting about. Glad to see that AG has jumped on this.

I'm not too impressed with the price though. Detailed Image and Power House Tools are both much cheaper. This I am surprised about because AG's prices are usually more competitive.

They had a pretty large thread growing by SuperchargedG (RedG35 over there). Normally, it would seem that they shut down threads on products they don't carry, but this one just kept going. I was figuring they were probably in the works to pick it up.

Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: MA Posts: 416 | Re: Flex XC 3401 VRG Review w/ Pics After cleaning my pads and squeezing moisture out of them, I let them air dry for two days. In the interest of speeding up the drying of the pads, I tried using the Flex to spin dry any remaining moisture out of them. The orange pad was fine. However, not a good move on the white pad. I had red transfer from the velcro onto the pad backing, and the BP velcro started lifting up from the edge of the BP.
I do have the 5" replacement BP, but I also really like the size of the 6" plate. Any of you all know what I could use to re-glue the velcro to the BP?

As I posted on the Odyssey detail, when I tried spin drying one of my Erasure pads it didn't work out so well for the black bp. I'm not sure about re-gluing. I do have some 2 part Epoxy stuff that I used for putting some new tweeters in my Allroad that migh work, but not sure how thin it dries. I can't remember if you're on the waiting list for a new bp from Powerhouse as well when they come in. Supposed to be 5.5" approximately and softer material.
