Been a long time since i used it, and went against my better judgement. Need some

Re: holograms

What product did you use to install the holograms?

There are so many choices out there. Lots of people will have their favorites.

Do you have any other products on the shelf, or is ordering a must?

Re: holograms

its not the rotary, its the wool pad that caused the buffer trails...clean it up with optimum polish and an white LC pad, or megs 83, then 80, then wax

Why did you use a wool pad?

Re: holograms

D&D..... I guess cause I'm a dumb a_ _... Just figured I'd try it. Gonna order a PC7424
and get some pads. It seems like most use LC pads here. What would be the proper
technique with the PC to remove them, don't want to inflict more damage

Before you do that (and if you don't want to stick with your rotary), note that there is a new machine developed by and available through this site called the UDM which is a PC with a more powerful motor. You might want to consider.

Re: holograms

Yeah, I'd much rather get a UDM than a PC now that the choice is there.

What product will depend on how bad the holograms are...my suggestion probably won't help much because what I like is discontinued and getting hard to find (3M PI-III RC 05933 followed by PI-III MG 05937). I suppose I'd say Menzerna IP followed by FPII or maybe one of their new polishes for scratch-resistant clear.

But if they're really bad I'd do a foam pad pass with the rotary first to get them a bit more manageable.
