I ordered my Makita!!!

I am more excited to get a tool than I have ever been. Got it from coastaltool.com for $177 shipped with the bag, hoop handle, and 2 pads.

I will be using mine with some 6.5" LC pads to start off with, but I would like to move up to EDGE 2000 pads in the future. I have to thank user JuneBug for letting me check his Makita out and that is what made me buy mine. Well, I thank June, but my wallet hates him.

I have a swirled black 2002 Land Rover to detail on Friday, I hope it gets here in time!

Re: I ordered my Makita!!!

Nah, i've had a CE and a Vector for about 2 years, but I am doing this full time this summer, so I had to have something a little more durable.

Re: I ordered my Makita!!!

Good for you, and you got a better price than I did. Looks like with all the rain we had Sunday - business will be good this week. Side note on the money thing, my wife showed me an ugly purse at the mall Saturday night - $298.00, makes it easy to justify buying something that will pay for itself. No. she didn't like that purse either - she just gets a kick out of seeing me go into "sticker shock"!

Re: I ordered my Makita!!!

Yeah, I have to curse you when I see the credit card statement in the mail for making me buy that thing. I am excited though, I hope it comes in by this weekend, I have a 2002 Land Rover (black) with a full swirl removal in 4hrs to accomplish.

I may end up getting those edge pads like yours June, you are makin me spend way to much money.

Aw dude, you'll have that puppy paid for in a week or less! I'm thinking I should have got that green pad at MS. You want to go back? I'm sure they'll give a deal on a multi-pad order, that way you'll have both sizes.

Re: I ordered my Makita!!!

Yeah, i'd go back if they had Edge 8" pads like yours. I dunno, I dont need to spend any more money at that place, I need an autogeek order. I do need to go to Northern to find out how to make a damn foam gun, check out my thread about foam guns and see what you think about how to make one.
