Fixing Chrome blemishes on Harley....

Ok, I have a friend that has tiny pits of rust color on his chrome handle bars, exhaust, etc. on his Harleys. I have a PC, and was wondering what, if any, is an acceptable way to use the PC to get rid of the blemishes on small spots such as handle bars.

Is this a job that must be done by hand? And if so, what product? Will Mother's do the trick either with PC or by hand?

Thanks in advance!

Cool Re: Fixing Chrome blemishes on Harley....

The best you can do is temporarily clean the rust out of them pits with a metal polish. It will come back eventually.

There’s nothing you can do about the pits themselves except re-plate.

PC.
