Join Date: May 2006 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 76 | SSR Speed Questions, trouble with hazing I'm using SSR2.5 w/a low profile orange pad and SSR1 with a white pad. After the 2.5 i'm getting a decent amount of hazing. Is it possible i'm using too much pressure with the 2.5 on the smaller pad? should I be going slower with less pressure?
Regarding SSR1, what speeds does everyone use with this? I had a little luck in removing about 50% of the hazing but there must be some tips that would help out.
Thanks! | |

It may be that the polish is not fully broken down. My experience with SSR 2.5 is that it will finish down very nicely, without much hazing.

I believe the polish breaks down faster and you end up dry buffing. i will experiment more but thats my hypothesis if you will.

Kler, what you're saying makes sense, i'll give that a shot in a few.
Thanks guys! | |

A white polishing pad with ample time should leave the finish LSP ready... I assume you're using speed 6?

So you're suggesting SSR1 with a white pad or 2.5?

One thing I did notice is that if the product builds up on the pad, it may cause a little hazing. A quick fix to this is to brush it off or wipe off the excess with a terry towel.

I dont know, i really feel like i was dry buffing the other day w/ the 2.5 and 5.25" ccs orange pad.
Let us know how it goes because i love the SSR line but im having trouble with it and these smaller pads, its causing too much hazing.

I dont know but it would be nice for those details with medium to light swirl removal.
