New pads

Ive taken good care of my LC pads for a few years nows but it is time to buy some more after shredding a couple over the weekend. What pads are "in" nowadays? Its been so long, there has to be some new and improved pad technology that I dont know about...

So what should I buy for my PC?

Re: New pads

The 5" LCM CCS pads have been a very hot seller.

They generate more heat and have a smaller working area to concentrate the work.

Re: New pads

I've been using cyclo 4" pads from Danase on my PC for light polishing and LSP's, which I like alot. If I need moderate to heavy cutting, I break out the rotary anyway.

Very good pads...I just used them with Menzerna polishes and they worked very good...I started with my Edge pads and it seemed like things were going slow..I switched over to the CCS pads from Danase and they started to cut right away...I am more than happy with those pads...they will be my pad of choice now...they actually rotate on the PC since they are smaller even with downward pressure...

I used them with the rotary also on some scratches from the dog jumping up on the truck...they worked great...I plan on another order just incase they ever stop making them...lol....

Re: New pads

Now I have to order another backing plate. What do I need for the 5" pads? You sure this ain't a marketing scheme aimed at making me spend more dollars

I use a 5" (4-7/8") plate but you have to be VERY careful not to let that plate smack anything.
