Shredding Pads
Its been awhile since I have used my PC DAP, but resently broke it out to overhaul a new car I picked up. I used an old pad for cutting stage and notice it was tearing and shredding at the base plate edges. I blew it off as an old pad. I then slapped a brand new pad on for Finish polish (ie. Megs Yellow Polish Pad) and it started shredding that one before I finished the car.
The velco edge of my currently base plate is rather sharp, but I don't see any signs of damage to it, so I assume it always been that way. *shrug*
Anyway, I am probably just going to pick up a new backing plate. Does anyone have any recommedations on Backing Plates for Porter Cable DA Machine?
