Run PC on my clear bra?????

Ok, I have a clear bra on my car. Do you think it's safe to run my PC on it at a slow speed? I'm going to do my hood soon but I want my bumper with clear bra to look as great as the rest of my car using the PC.

In the past I have been using abrasives on my clear bra (BY HAND) to remove some scuffs and scratches. No harm by hand, but I wonder if it's safe to use a PC on it at low speeds. I was thinking of using Menz IP + orange pad + PC on my clear bra. It also states on my paper work that the clear bra (3m) the plasitc is similar to a clear coat. Anyways, hope someone can help me.

Re: Run PC on my clear bra?????

I install PPF and only use OCW on it. When I am detailing a car with PPF, I tape it off and do not polish it. I am not really not sure what the PC would do, but I never risk it. Not sure that helps you at all...

Re: Run PC on my clear bra?????

Today I ran my PC on my clear bra. I used 6" and 4" CCS pad with Menz IP. Yes I used abrasive polish on it. Then I used a white pad with Z-14 & Z-PC. After I polished the clear bra, I then applied Z-AIO by PC. I used all speeds on the bra and nothing bad happened. The results made my clear bra.... well more "invisible."

After using the PC, I put 2 coats w/ ZFX of Z5p, and 1 x Z2p then did the final seal with my favorite Z-CS.

That 3M clear bra is tough, but it does scratch easy but I was able to buff it out. I'm happy with the results and my clear bra is clean and better than new!

So, if anyone has a 3M clear bra and a PC. I know there's different clear bras out there, but I'm sure that it's very safe to use the PC on clear bra

Re: Run PC on my clear bra?????

I was told by X-Pel I could use a PC but use a polish with very limited abrasive. He also mentioned that they have found a cloth with a lot of rubbing alcohol gets out swirls too. Not much pressure is needed. Never tried either, will do it once it's warm here in Philly.

Re: Run PC on my clear bra?????

I clayed mine and followed it with OP on a white LC pad with no problems. Helped with the yellowing. The porous material of the clear bra takes in a bunch of contaminants and the clay helped removed a lot of them.

Yup, I clay mine often. Got lots of dirt off today.

First I started out with 3 to avoid splatter, then I eventually moved to 6 with no problems. It turns out that my clear bra is actually more clear.

Keep in mine, this was the 3rd time I used a PC. 1st time on the hood and bumper.

I love my new toy!
