Can pads embed stuff into the paint

Hey guys, I was doing my accord today and got a little scared, its gold in color, and I have used these pads on many diffrent cars and consider myself used to the this process.

I did the following
Wash
Clay
Orange LC pad with SSR 2.5
White LC pad with Megs number 9
Hand apply PB Carnuba polish

What I thought I was seeing was little orange/black micro spots in the paint, I am not sure if this is actual or phsychological, mainly since this paint was left in the sun for a few months so it has oxidized, so I am not sure if I am seeing the flakes in the paint. But my concern was that with these pads I had polished a set of painted furniture, but after that I washed the pads twice, could there be any issues....
