Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: Sarasota, Florida Posts: 187 | Makita Rotary Question I should be recieving my rotary on Friday or Saturday and I'm getting the Makita 9227CX3. I know it has variable speed setting and I believe that on 3 the speed is something like 1500. My question is if I wanted to polish at 1200 how would I know I"m at 1200? Do you just hold the trigger halfway down to achieve only 1200?
My second question is can I spur foam pads to clean them or should I just replace the pad when needed? How do I know when I need to change pads...? Any additional information is more then welcome.
TIA
Josh

As for 2.3 - there are 3 clicks between 2 and 3, 2.3 is the first of em.

Now to just convince my girlfriend that of course its perfectly safe (so I can use it on her car first) and think of a reason why I don't want the first time using it to be on my car .

Then after I've finished a car, in the washing machine they go. Triple rinse after washing (on gentle setting)
