| Re: First time with Rotary...Pics I use a PC at home, and a rotary at work. Oddly enough, I don't polish much at home anymore, I take it all to work where I can use my makita...I can't stand how slow the PC works in comparison to the rotary...It drives me insane. I haven't polished a lot of cars with the rotary yet, maybe in the 100 ballpark, and I've only wrecked something twice...window trim once, and a rubstrip on the door...but that was my own fault for not taping it off, and both incidents happened when I was just starting out with a rotary.
I have told myself when summer pulls around again, I'll give my PC another chance, otherwise I'll buy my own rotary for home use.
Oh, another thing to keep an eye on...plastic heats up WAY faster than metal, so pay extra special attention while doing bumpers, spoilers, etc. anything plastic. It heats up VERY fast and is very easy to burn though. |
