How to calibrate ETG
I got an old ETG from ebay and it seems to not be calibrated properly. I got the interface to get me to a Calibration screen but I think I would do more worse than good playing around in there. Can some one post how to calibrate this thing? Maybe the directions or where to find them?
Thanks, Shawn.

Re: How to calibrate ETG
Do you have the plates that originally came with it? I believe mine has 3 or 4 to calibrate with. I don't have the directions with me, but if no one else posts them by the time i get home, I will see what I have.

Re: How to calibrate ETG
best advice is to locate the website for the manufacturer and contact them. There could be several differnent ways to calibrate each PTG depending on model.

Thanks for the tip But I have scoured the internet looking for it and I can not find it. And looking on the device I can not even find a company name. It looks like many I have seen posted here on autopia. It has a three button interface and is shaped like a brick.

Maybe post a pic and any information printed on it. I'm sure a few of us would help in your search.

Re: How to calibrate ETG
It looks very simular this this one.
But for some reason I think it only has 3 buttons, not 4.

Re: How to calibrate ETG
Yep. The probe does not come off but it is just like the one pictured. Looking at the picture there is one button for "ON". If I press any button on mine it will turn on. so that maybe why I only have 3 buttons.

Re: How to calibrate ETG
I went through the instructions on how to recalibrate, but you need the recalibration sheets to be able to do it. I can copy the instructions for you, but I don't know how you will be able to do it without the sheets.

Re: How to calibrate ETG
Hey,
I have an ETG II I got from someone on Ebay as well, it came with everything accept the calibration plates. I just called and ordered the two plates for mine, (steel and aluminum) and they were $11.00 each plus S/H. The company homepage is: PromotorCar Products — PromotorCar Products and the phone number is 800-334-2843.
Hope that helps,
Tom
