The products that you have there are quite mild in terms of swirl removal, espeically for harder paints that you can find on VAG cars... However, before splashing out on more polishes, I woul certainly have a go with what you have there. If the car has seen no end of mechanical car washes then chances are that the paint is in pretty poor condition with some major swilrs and tramlining, but have a go first with what you have there... For defect correction, try out the Poorboys SSR2 and see what this achieves. Give it a couple of "hits".
If you find you are getting no where fast with the products you have, and are thoroughly working the products, then I would highly recommend the
Menzerna products range for use by PC on hard paint finishes...
Menzerna PO85RD3.0x
Intensive Polish would be my first port of call if SSR2 fails, applied using a light cutting or cutting pad. This may take a couple of hits but I would expect this to be capable of removing medium swilrs on hard paint finishes by PC. If and only if the
Intensive Polish is not getting you anywhere, then step up to Power Gloss, applied ideally using a 4" cutting pad. This is an aggressive compound and as such I would view it as a last resort, it will leave its own marring behnd especially when being applied by PC as the PC doesn't really have the power to thoroughly break the product down, but it can still deliver the results if all else is failing. Follow it with the
Intensive Polish to remove the marring it leaves.
Once you have removed thedefects with the
Menzerna polishes, the I would use
Klasse AIO applied using a finishing pad on the PC and follow this up with the P21S wax on the inky blue metallic Passat that you have - this will give a nice deep and wet looking shine from the products that you have.
