ok to use 7.5" pads w/ 5" backing plate?

That's what I did last time, since the Menzerna swirl kit I purchased came w/ the 7.5" lake country pads...wondering if that was ok or if I should be using a 6" backing plate w/ the 7.5" pads, thanks!

that will work
but, I think a larger plate will give more cut if you need it

6" would be MUCH better.........You'll end up ripping those pads apart with any serious polishing.
