purchasing PC 7424

I want to direct a family member for the best place to purchase a PC for me I was looking at autogeek and was wondering should I tell them to get the model with the 3 foam pads, and Pinnacle XMT Fine Swirl Remover and Carnauba Finishing Glaze for $129.00 even though the pads are 5.5". I wanted to use 6.5" pads which I told should be used with 5" backing plate which is the same size they recommend so I just wanted to know is this good products and pads just to test out with my new PC. Also does autogeek have a discount code for autopia members when purchasing?

Re: purchasing PC 7424

I would get a kit from Classic Motoring Accesories, they sell the new CCS pads which blow the old style foam pads out of the water. It will be more expensive, but the new pads are worth it. BUT, that is a good price for the kit you showed and I spoke with someone at autogeek and they say the XMT is great.

I have used the new CCS pads and they work really well especially with the rotary.

$129 for that kit seems like a very good value...that is close to the cost of the PC alone. you'll need to do some comparisons and add up the totals when you factor in that you need a few different pads beyond what the kit provides, etc.

Re: purchasing PC 7424

Yeah, i've been doing lots of looking for the PC and that is a great deal. the cheapest i've found it ALONE is for 120.

10 bucks more for all that stuff isn't bad.

keep in mind, you'll need more pads.

For instance, i'm ording the pc kit you did, plus the Edge 2000 pad system(maybe overkill) for 100 more. It adds up quick, esp. with supplies on top of that.

Re: purchasing PC 7424

Thanks everybody for comments I think I'll just advise them to get me that. I know that I'll need more pads I was just trying to look for a PC alone for them to get me but seen that with some pads and other goodies and said here's my chance to test some other products.
