PC w/dust hood?

I just saw this on Amazon. Has anyone tried the PC with the dust hood? It is basically a hose attatchment on the PC to a vac. Im wondering how well this works and if it gets in the way while polishing.

Yeah, the idea is to quit buffing when you're getting dusting to avoid marring.

Some polishes Eg SSR 2.5 dust even when there is wuite alot of polish still on the car.. Using it last night, there was still thick layers of polish being worked, and it was dusting.

Also polish on the edges of the pad can dust working on speed 6 on the pc. It could still be a useful little product

dusting . . . i hate that. can that be a result of using to much product im trying to use small, dime size ammounts for a panel or half a hood/roof ? maybe I am not prepping my pads enough?

You probably would not be able to change the backing plate with the dust collecting unit on the machine, and the machine will be louder. If you are looking for a unit to use in detailing, skip the dust collector.

I have had several with the dust collection port, and they are decent machines for the price (for the intended purpose of sanding). Dust collection is OK, but not on the level of say a Fein MS636.
