Thinking about getting a PC.

Ive been debating on whether to finally dive in and get a PC or buy more detailing supplies. I plan on spending around $150. I bought one of those 4'' portable Wen orbital polishers from Top of the Line and have been happy with it for just layering wax and sealants. My cars are new, but i'm sure I'll start seeing light swirl marks after two years or so. I've heard great things about the PC and the way swirls can be tackled. ALso, having a 6" pad would cut down on the covering process a little.

I say go for it...I'm guessing you'll begin to see light swirl marks before 2 years is up. You'd be surprised to see some new cars look worse than older cars with the great dealer prep people recieve these days

You're going to love the PC, it is a very wise investment and you won't regret it. Are you going to be picking up some polishes as well this purchase or wait until next time? If you're looking into polishes I would reccomend Blackfire Finishing Polish (light swirls/micromarring), and Optimum Polish/Compound for moderate swirling

If you have a Lowe's nearby, that's about the best deal unless you look for used. The model is 7336SP.

Look @ autogeek. They have quite a few great bundles, and if you enter signup915 , you get 10% off

You can use "autopia" on autogeek (and some others) to get the 10% discount too.

I would also suggest getting the PC. For polishing, applying/removing LSP's etc. it takes you to a new, higher level.

I concur, go for it. As mentioned the swirls will show up LONG before two years......you'll be prepared for them.
