Unhappy PC on backorder...

I ordered a PC from detailcity.com on saturday, they hadnt charged my bank account or anything so I was getting alittle fishy. I was going to call them today but I got an email saying they are on backorder till thursday(tomorrow). Were going on a big trip this weekend and I was really wanting to buff our car before we went, but I guess thats not going to happen. I asked if he would give me an upgraded shipping(2day or something) free of charge, but he said he wouldnt make any money on the product if he did that. I was cool about it and toally understood.

So if anyone has gotten one in the past couple days, thats why you havent gotten it. It was only $141 with shipping and a finish pad. I noticed they took the price up to $130 after I got it for $120.

Is there a reason you chose to purchase online versus locally?

A lot of us have been able to buy our PCs locally at Lowe's for $100-$120. Of course, pads and a proper backing plate won't be available at Lowes, BUT there is an included finishing pad that can be used for waxing.

This one came with a free backing plate($20) plus was cheaper than the one at lowes. Someone told me not to use the pad that comes with it anyway. I orderd some from meguiars at the same time I ordered the buffer and it took them two days to get here.

I ordered my PC 7424 recently from Amazon.com for $119. I also ordered a couple of spare PC polishing pads. I placed the order on Monday, it was shipped the next day and received it on Friday. I've used it once to apply Meguiars NXT and it did a great job! I haven't decided yet whether I'll get the Sonus foam pad kit. Need some time before I screw up the courage to further 'restore' my wife's car with the perfect shine kit or equivilant.
