Edge 2K adapter issue

I decided to try the Edge system, so I order a pad kit and the adapter. I needed to use the PC today, so I went to put on the adapter. I took off my old backing plate and went to screw on the adapter. After about 3 - 4 threads, the adapter wouldn't screw in any more. There is still space between the adapter and the washer before it bottoms out. I can't imagine that's how it is supposed to be.

Also, my old backing plate screwed right in like nothing, so I don't think it has anything to do with the threads on the PC.

Anyone else have this problem?

I'll assume that is someone at Edge??

I emailed them as well, so I'll wait for a response and then go from there.

Email: aaron@ dedicationtodetail.com if you have ANY doubts. Hands down amazing customer service. I got all my old version pads replaced at no cost.

It sounds like your twisting in the Adapter by hand into the threading and it's stopping with about 1 centimeter of room. You need to use the Flat wrench that comes with the PC and lock the threading.

I talked to Aaron. He sent me a new adapater. I should have it tomorrow. Great customer service!!

Now, the more I think about it, the more I think it might be the PC. The threads inside it look straight, but so do the threads on the adapter. I'll have the new adapter tomorrow, so I guess I'll see. I'm thinking about running a 5/16 tap through the threads on the PC to clean them up.
