Removing swirls I missed the first time???

A few weeks ago I polished and waxed my black 2003 Mustang with the following products/tools, in the following order (Im not very good with all the acronyms yet, so please bear with me)

Menzerna IP - Rotary
Menzerna FPII - Rotary
Poorboys EXP- Orbital
Poorboys Nattys Blue - Hand

I am now seeing some areas on the car where some extra polishing would be beneficial. Do I need to wash the whole car with "Dawn" (i.e. strip the wax)and start over? Or can I simply polish the trouble areas after my normal wash?

Thx!

I did the same thing recently. I'm going to wash, and clay and do a wipe-down of the panels I want to work on with rubbing alcohol/water to remove the LSP. Then, it's back to polish and finish again.

If you have done your car recently, I see no need to do the whole car if you only need to take care of a few panels.

Next time, I'll really put the car under a microscope after polishing, even though I "thought" I did that last time.

Yeah, use rubbing alcohol (IPA) as opposed to Dawn, which won't really strip a healthy LSP anyhow. Just strip the areas you're gonna polish some more, it's easy with the IPA on a MF.

Or just cut through it with the polish you use. Your choice, I usually just cut through unless the LSP gums up my polishing (in which case I use the IPA).

Sounds like the rubbing alcohol will allow me to "spot fix" as oppsoed to re-doing the entire car.

Also, has anyone tried to mix RMG with the Menzerna polishes? I remember reading something about that, but forget which Menzerna products were used or what the ratios were.
