Fitting a backing plate to a PC

I have a Mequiar's backing plate that won't fit my PC because the backing plate is female and so is the PC. Anybody run into a solution for this?

They make adaptors for this. Adaptors scare me though. I would be paranoid it would come loose and damage the vehicle.

If you have a backing plate that has a female thread, that is for a rotary polisher.

if you don't have a PC backing plate consider the Edge System- adapter and dual sided pads. Costs less

Call meguiars and ask them to exchange the plate for you. They have models specifically to fit the DA, what you have is a rotary plate.
