Waxmaster WB9000...Any good?

I know the Porter Cable 7424 is the ultimate DA polisher, but I bought this Random Orbital polisher a while ago. Is this any good? No one here ever talks about them.

What's the deal?

I used one for years and did some pretty amazing stuff with it. Make sure that you have lots of terry or microfiber pad covers and just play around with different products. Yes, I managed to remove some pretty bad swirls and scratches with it. However, the Porter Cable 7424 does a much better job.

Thanks, Tom.

Any recommendations of where to get the mf and terry covers for this? I believe it's a 9 inch pad.

Honestly it's too slow and doesn't have the pads to fix real problems. They are good for applying mild glaze and wax, and maybe for removing wax. I retired mine a long time ago. I know a PC can be expensive, but good tools are an investment that pay back huge in time savings and quality work.

I have definitely learned the lesson that the right tools make the job a lot easier...I just installed hurricane shutters on my house and I bought a corded hammer drill. Man! That made the drilling and screwing of the Tapcons so much easier. I already had a rechargeable battery model that just didn't have the power to get into the concrete. I'd still be out there trying to make the pilot holes!

My plan is to get the PC, but I had this laying around the garage and wondered if it was any good.
