I do not know of any pads for Meguiar's but...

Edge- yellow medium cut, green-light cutting
lake country- orange light cut, green dual purpose, white polishing
propel-yellow medium cut, greenlight cut
sonus- orange light cut

to the best of my knowledge I believe this to be a correct answer to your question.

here is a link that will give a list of products that charts the abrassive levelof polishes. at the bottom of the link is a chart for the pads. http://www.dano.pocketrubbish.com/de...oductchart.htm

The words for the pads speak forthemselves. If you have light marring use a light cutting pad. Heavy marring use a heavy pad.

If starting out, as a newbie, it would be best to get a starter kit from a forum sponsor and get hands on experience to decide how to judge your paint condition. but the rule of thumb says the least aggressive first. You can always up the aggresiveness of product and pads to suit your needs.

The Meg's burgundy is a fairly aggressive pad when used by PC/RO. Some people even opine that it should only be used with a rotary. Other manufacturers' cutting pads are universally recommended for PC/RO use, so maybe *any* other cutting pad might be a somewhat milder alternative
