Black 2004 Subaru WRX plan of attack

Well I have done some searching, probably not enough, but I am asking anyway.

I have a PC and the Sonus SFX pad set (yellow, blue, and white). The car has some pretty bad swirls, actually got much worse after the last wash (throwing away that new wash mit). The car is a daily driver with about 38K miles on it. I did the meguirs 3 step by hand last year, and use Zymol about every 3-4 months to keep it protected.

I have a small amount of experience with the PC on other cars, but haven't attacked the WRX yet. I have some Meguire's DACP #83 and plan to use that after claying with the yellow pad. From there I have some Klasse AIO I plan to use with the white (or blue) pad, I am not really sure here. Then some Klasse sealant glaze over the AIO. I may put a layer of Carnuba over that.

Overall does this seem like a good plan of attack? I am a little worried that the #83 is a little aggressive, but these swirls are all over and pretty bad.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I may take some pictures tonight to include.

Thanks

I would pick up #80 to follow up the DACP with. Subaru paint is thin and kinda soft. Use the lighter polish to burnish the paint to perfection after you remove the majority of the defects with #83. The rest of your plan sounds great.

Walmart's Eurow brand wash mitts are great, especially this time of year. Thick plush sheepskins for 4.96 apiece. what a deal!

good luck with the rex.

Yeah, definitely plan on using a milder combo after the #83/cutting pad. FWIW I found Subie clear pretty easy to correct.

I'd get many coats of KSG on there (at least 3-4) before you think about topping it with wax. Thin thin thin with the KSG

Thanks for the tips. I ordered some #80 to follow up the 83 with.

I will get some before and after pictures up when I attack. Should be next weekend.
