For example what is that right speed to use Poorboys SSR 2.5 and so on? Any help would be great, and yes I did do a search. Lucas

1200-1500 rpm for medium polishing
1500-1800 rpm for heavy polishing
This is my general rule of thumb.

Regardless of machine, you can use the above mentioned speeds with every DA. 3-4 for spreading, the above for polishing. The higher the speed, the heavier the correction.
Don't worry about the exact OPMs. There are DAs that have smaller pad throw (3-4 mm), but they are compenstaing this with a significantly higher OPM number (up to 24.000). This ultra fast jiggle often breaks down even the more difficult polishes pretty quickly. It finishes up the coarser ones to LSP-ready levels too. The slower ones, such as the PC have a quite big, 8.8 mm pad throw. That means heavier vibration. A good compromise is a powerful machine with a 5-6 mm pad throw and a 6000-8000 OPM capability.
