Not all manufacturers use the same colors for the same level of aggressiveness. Asking if the yellow pad by so and so is the right pad to use is going to get you a ??? from those who don't use those pads. Forget the color, that is just to look pretty. If you ask if the polishing pad by so and so is the correct pad for your situation is going to allow more people to answer your question more quickly.

Not to sound mean or anything, but I usually ignore posts that ask for advice on "blue pads" because I don't want to deal with a back-and-forth converstation within the thread. Isn't there a chart someone made that explains which colors different companies use to code for aggressiveness? It should really be a sticky.

As long as everyone refers to the pad's rating instead of color, they can get their questions answered more quickly.
