Rotary Advice

I know there are a lot of quality rotary buffers out there but request some advice on which one to purchase. I currently have a PC but I can not get out some old water spots from years ago. I desire to get some expierence with a rotary so that I can utilize some of the products out there that should not be used with a PC.
So far I have utilized Poorboys SSR2.5 X 3 on the areas and they still do not come out. This is an older car so I can use it for practice.

The Dewalt and Makita units seem to be the most popular here. I've used the Makita and it's quite heavy. You definitely feel it at the end of the detail. I think the Dewalt is heavier yet.
I just got myself the Metabo yesterday and it's definitely a lot lighter. Haven't used it yet but that will change tomorrow. Have a look for some of the Metabo reviews.

Guess it depends on your usage....hobby/enthusiast or for $$$.
If money is no option, go with a Metabo or do a search and you will see Makita, Dewalt, and a few
Hitachi users comment.

I love to use my Makita 9227C with M83/W-8006. Most of the moderate defects can be removed or reduced, except pinholes and heavy water spot etchings.
