Use caution with cords

I was polishing the other day with my Metabo. I lost concentration for just a moment. The cord some how got caught up in the drive and ripped right in two. I am lucky I did not shock my self. Luckily, I had a Milwaukee rotary for back up, and was able to finish the job. I was able to get a new chord shipped from Metabo quickly, and I performed the repair myself. I guess the point is, a loss of concentration for a split second, and things like this can happen.

i would agree. sometimes, you have to be careful over the simplest things....

My Cord Management 101
All my cords have velco attached to plug end. That will be used to bunch up cord around knee level for a slight downward pull. If you a right handed place cord over left shoulder. At right rear pocket belt loop place a carabiner. ( Next time you are at Homey D's or Slowes they will be a checkout counter) Place cord in carabiner. Cord is now over left shoulder, across back to right side and held "kinda" tight by the slightly wieghted plug end.
This, in my experience, keeps slack out of cord without restricting movement.

I was detailing a friends truck /w the rotary and he wanted to try to use it, I said to him it takes a lot of time learning how to use it but he insisted on using it since it was his truck and he insisted on using it so I let him, so the rotary caught the antenna and the pad flu 30 ft away like a frisbee.
