Meguiars VS PC7424

I was on the verge of ordering the PC7424 and living with the fact that I would also need a transformer for use in the UK, when I noticed that Meguiars also do a unit, albeit there's operating on batteries rather than mains supply.
Has anyone had any experience with this unit, and if so how does it compare.
The price for one of these in the UK would be approx £99.00
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That would be their portable unit that is designed more for applying wax, as it does not have enough juice to actually polish.

Exactly. It won't do anymore than than apply wax. You want a Porter Cable or a G100 (just a re-badged PC 7424 with Meguiar's name on it. Its more expensive, but you get a lifetime warranty).
