no swirls, but small half round marks on black

hey guys, would appreciate any help with some half round marks (heard them explained that way) after polishing my truck w/ the pc. I think it was the pad that created them, and seem to be from the vibration of the pad? . I've used polishing , finishing pads, with little to high speed, little to moderate pressure, and for now, covered them with #80.

Could someone please help?...

I had some of those on my car after using an Excel yellow/Optimum combo. An Excel blue took care of them nicely. I used moderate to light pressure at about 5. I really don't know what to suggest, but that's what worked for me.

Do the marks look like the spring binder on a notebook....the spiral type....If they do you may have had a piece of contaminent on the pad..such as some grit..

Do your self a favor..go the drug store and get a fingernail cleaning brush....always brush the pad before use to ensure free of any type of grit...also good to clean pad during using them ..if the pad loads up with product give it a brush off...

no spiral type marks...but thank you for the tip.... there was nothing in the pad. they are not continous or joined in any way. The only other way that I can describe them is when my microfiber "lints", I get similar marks, but they aren't uniform like these.

please excuse my double post...but I was reading that Klasse AIO has a very small amount of abrasive, and I got these marks from using KLasse and a finishing pad the first time that I polished my truck. it looks a lot less "clear" in the areas that I polished versus the very small curves right where the bed's paint meets the bedliner. Almost like a uniform "haze".

Hello micromarring! Use a mild polish like SSR1, Menzerna FPII with a white polishing pad @ 5.5 to clean this up. You may have to take 2 passes at it to REMOVE it vs. covering it up with #80.
