help! pc stopped working, half way through a detail!

hey guys, i'm in the middle of a full detail on my 1998 mustang GT. I was using #83 and sonus green pad. all was fine. I set the machine down after doing the hood to switch pads to use #80 and after I spread the product around manually, I go to turn the machine on and nothing happened. I've let it sit for 30 minutes now, and it still won't turn on, I thought maybe I overheated it (wouldn't know how I did that) anyone know what might have happened here?! I bought it off autopia-carcare and I don't have a lowe's near by. Any suggestions? thanks for the help in advance

btw- it's not the outlet, i have flourecent lights plugged in and they're working still.

If you have "short in the power cord", you would blow the fuses so check them.
You may have loss connection so open it up and check on/off switch make sure none of the wiring is lose.

hey thanks for the replies, I guess it was a short somewhere in the wiring because playing with the switch made it turn on but shut off after i let go. I bit it and bought a 7336 from lowes and switched the counterweight. Guess I'll try and exchange the 7424 to lowes, otherwise send it back to Porter Cable. I'm thinking it might not be bad to have two on hand anyway, not that I'm a pro, but I was stuck with #80 spread on my hood, and nothing to buff it out with! Would have been pretty pissed if lowes didn't have any! Still wasted 2 hours going there to buy a new one! oh well, "sh*t happens". can't wait to check out some of the labor day weekend details! Will post pics of mine when I'm finished! thanks for the suggestions, i'm working on finishing my weekend #80, #3 and souveran detail. Looks great so far thanks to autopia!
